katniss.
This didn't feel real.

This didn't feel like it could possibly be her life right now. As Katniss watched the men carry the unconscious Gale back up to her home for treatment it almost felt like there was a haze on the world. Like she was seeing it through a fog that had nothing to do with the raised welt on her eye.

Behind the haze, though, there was a world of emotions building up within her. Anger that this had happened, a sorrow for what had happened to Gale, and a disbelief that she'd been so naive. The Capitol wouldn't just let things go easily anymore. Rebellion was here, and this was the price. And every day the price would get higher and higher until it was too high to pay with anything less than their own lives. How could she have turned a blind eye to this?

Katniss watched as the men took Gale inside the house, and followed in as soon after as she could, watching as her mother and Prim sprung into work on the unconscious boy on their kitchen table.

( ooc; posting order- katniss, prim, candy, gale. We can change things up where necessary if necessary. )
